DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will work on developing, testing and maintaining our data engineering infrastructure. Our ideal team member will have the proper engineering expertise as well as deep knowledge of operating systems, networks, cloud infrastructures, and IaC tools. You will engage in the continuous learning and collaborative culture of our team, which is composed of specialists on social media data, software & data engineers, and data scientists. We will rely on you to improve overall system reliability, efficiency and quality of our data-intensive architecture, by following good practices on the infrastructure level.

Your responsibilities:

  • Join a team of experts from various fields, aiming to provide better automated operations
  • Support the maintenance and various enhancements of our infrastructure
  • Optimise, improve, monitor and troubleshoot our CI/CD pipelines
  • Use your creativity and skills to improve our development and maintenance practices
  • Engage in DevOps and MLOps pipeline building, monitoring, and maintenance
  • In the long term: Take full responsibility for infrastructure provisioning and automation tasks

Skills & Requirements:

  • B.Sc. or higher in Computer science/engineering
  • At least 2 years of experience with infrastructure as a code (IaaC) and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible,  etc.). Experience with Terraform is preferred
  • Experience with Azure, Amazon Web Services or any other Cloud Platform. Experience with Azure and AWS are preferred
  • Extensive experience working on and administering Linux systems
  • Good knowledge of shell scripting
  • Extensive experience with Docker and related tools
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch  and relational databases (MySQL etc)
  • Team spirit and willingness to learn from as well as mentor others
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability and flexibility to work both independently and in collaboration with developers, depending on the situation
  • Willingness to to learn and experiment
